Our Journey
We at Gateway New Testament Church began our journey in 1989, meeting in an old feed store on Oaklawn Street. We opened our hearts and lives to the move of the Lord and He began growing us at a steady pace. The Lord blessed us with eleven years to grow in his presence at the Oaklawn location in Pleasanton, Texas.
In 1999, the blessings continued with the groundbreaking of our new church home on Goodwin Street, Pleasanton, Texas. On Easter morning 2000, we began the next leg of our journey with the first service in our new facility.
We have welcomed the changes from the Lord in the past and continue to accept the Lord's guidance in our future. He has given us such a magnificent history, but there is more to come because He is not finished with us yet.
We believe in allowing the Lord, through His magnificent Holy Spirit, to have true freedom in our praise, worship, teachings, and sermons. Where He leads us, we will follow, and we encourage you to allow the Lord to work freely in your life, family, work, and ministry as well.
There truly is freedom in the Lord Jesus Christ. We hope you enjoy yourself at our church. You are welcomed back anytime.
What You Can Expect
Participating in God's presence makes your time at Gateway New Testament a fulfilling experience. One of the many keys provided to us to open the door to God's presence is the chance for praise, worship, prayer, and the hearing of the Word. We are confident that everyone God sends our way was placed here for a purpose and not by coincidence. Now, not only will God actually bless this house through each individual, but He will also truly bless each individual through this house. Members are urged to develop their gifts and use them for God's glory.

Our Core Beliefs
1. We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. 2 Timothy 3:15-17, I Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21
2. We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22
3. We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19
4. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. Romans 5:10, 1 Corinthians 15:20
5. We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, confess with our mouth Jesus Christ is Lord, believe in our hearts, and by the cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus we are saved. Romans 10:9, John 6:53, John 3:3-16
6. We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use our spiritual gifts. Mark 1:8
7. We believe that God has individually equipped us with gifts and talents so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and in our communities in which we live. Mark 16:15-18, 1 Corinthians 12:7-11
8. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. Acts 1:9-11, Revelation 1:7
A Church Based On Biblical Values
Make A Donation
God's glory is the purpose of Gateway New Testament. Our objective is to see Jesus Christ establish His church as a thriving, active group of believers who use their individual gifts and strengths to serve the local neighborhood.
We put effort into meeting the physical, mental, and emotional needs of those we minister to in addition to their spiritual needs. We are aware that God alone is responsible for our call towards discipleship and the strength we need to fulfill it. Because of this, our work will be inspired by a total reliance on the Lord, as demonstrated by consistent prayer. Donate to our church to help us establish God's Kingdom on earth!
